Charge:  The mission of the Lachat Town Farm Committee is to provide ways to unite all generations around a community farm effort by celebrating Weston's farming roots and offering extensive educational programs related to agriculture, the environment, sustainability, nutrition, and the arts while fostering an appreciation for the history of Weston and its diverse community and oversee the Lachat Town Maintenance Fund.  (10/05/2023 Board of Selectmen)  

The Committee has developed many programs that fulfill this mission and keep Weston residents busy all year long.   The farm has become a beloved place to residents. 

Some of the programs offered include:  

  • Music in the Meadow
  • Fireside Concert Series in the farmhouse during the winter months
  • Lachat Farmers Market, our largest monthly event, on the last Friday of the month from June through October
  • December Holiday Market
  • Community Garden Town residents with 52 beds ranging in size and available for lease
  • Little Farmhands Summer Programs for children
  • Classes and events for children and adults, including music, cooking classes, craft classes, knitting classes, and meditation and tai chi
