Form of Government

Town Meeting:  Town Meeting is the Legislative Body of the Town of Weston, with the legislative powers delineated in the Weston Town Charter.  Registered voters and US citizens of the age of 18 years or more, liable to the Town for taxes of not less than $1,000, may vote at the Town Meetings.
First Selectperson:  As stated in the Town Charter, the First Selectperson shall be the Chief Executive and Administrative Officer of the Town, additional duties can be found in Article 5 of the Town Charter.
Board of Selectmen:  The duties of the Board of Selectmen can be found in Article 4 of the Town Charter.
Board of Finance:  The duties of the elected Board of Finance may be found in the Weston Town Charter 

 

Chief Elected Official and Members of the Board of Selectmen

The First Selectwoman is Samantha Nestor (D) snestor@westonct.gov . The other members of the Board of Selectmen are Tony Pesco (D) tpesco@westonct.gov and Kerem Dinlenc (R) kdinlenc@westonct.gov. Their mailing address is Weston Town Hall, 56 Norfield Road, Weston, CT 06883. Persons wishing to meet with members of the Board of Selectmen should make an appointment, as the positions are part-time. Town Administrator

The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Selectmen.  Article 5, Section 5.3 of the Town Charter lists the duties of the Town Administrator.  The Town Administrator generally oversees day-to day-operations and personnel management and is responsible for developing the budget for adoption. Finance Director

The Finance Director is Richard Darling. The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the daily financial affairs of the town. This department maintains the Town's general accounting systems and controls, processes the Town payroll and performs year end tax functions. The Finance Director also assists in the annual budget development as well as longer term financial planning and coordinates the Town's annual financial audit.
