Weston High School Company Presents: Mean Girls
WESTON, CT (3/13/2024) – What has brains, beauty and a vicious burn book? Weston High School’s Mean Girls is a phenomenal and funny musical that puts the drama in dramatic performance. Running March 21st-24th, the encore-worthy extravaganza features all your favorite characters from the 2004 blockbuster film, which was also remade just this year as a movie adaptation of the Broadway musical. Theatergoers will not want to miss this impressive cast battle it out to see who rules the school!
Mean Girls tells the story of sheltered Cady Heron who moves to Illinois after having grown up on the African savanna with her zoologist parents. Upon arriving, she is faced with an even more ferocious jungle: public high school. As she navigates the unfamiliar social hierarchy, she encounters the trio of “Plastics” including ruthless leader Regina George as well as best friends Janis and Damian and the brainy Mathletes.
The Mean Girls musical premiered in 2018 and was nominated for a staggering 12 Tony Awards. It features an energetic score, which will be performed by the Weston High School Pit Orchestra. Songs including “World Burn,” “Revenge Party,” and “Apex Predator” will make you feel like you’re a student walking the halls of North Shore High.
