Paths to Autistic Empowerment

There are many different paths towards autistic empowerment, but many of the paths are based not only in our understanding of ourselves, but in common autistic experiences and how we are often treated by the world. Because of that, even though being empowered will look very different for each autistic individual, our paths to get there share many commonalities. These paths include open communication and self-advocacy.

Jeremy K. Farrell is a professional advocate for autistic individuals, and a proud autistic person himself. He began this work at the age of 15 where he began working with kids that many adults couldn’t figure out, and he discovered he had a knack for it. Since then he has worked as a mentor, speaker, business consultant, and advocate within the autistic community. He is passionate about creating healthy shared understandings of autism.
