WESTON, CT – Sample a selection of five whiskeys from around the world at
the Weston History & Culture Center’s Whiskey Tasting Party on Saturday, April 29,
2023 from 7pm – 10pm at 104 Weston Road in Weston, CT. Tickets are $100 per
person and can be purchased at: https://westoncthistory.org.
Ticket includes a tasting of five whiskeys, tasting talk led by CEO of the Academy Drinks, Dr. Jessica Spector,hearty hors d'oeuvres, specialty cocktail, beer and wine service. Attendees must be 21 and over. IDs will be checked at the door. Sponsored by Diageo.

About the presenter: Dr. Jessica Spector, CEO of The Academy Drinks, is a philosophy
professor and social and intellectual historian who teaches about drink culture and
Ethics at Yale University. She holds an MA and PhD from The University of Chicago
and diplomas and certifications from several Scottish Whisky Academies & WSET. She
is a member of the American Distilling Institute and the American Craft Spirits
Association, and Director of Drink History and Culture at the Museum of Distilled
Spirits. Her publications include work on the sex industry and intellectual history, and
forthcoming work in Bloomsbury Press’s series on the cultural history of prostitution.
