Experience the magic of taking the clear liquid that emerges from winter trees into rich, delicious maple syrup! This special 4 week workshop for grades 6-10 will include the entire process making syrup, from tapping Lachat’s magestic sugar maples, to collecting sap, to boiling down the sap to make syrup.
Along the way, they will learn about how deciduous trees in our forest store sugar in the fall to feed themselves in the late winter, and will have the opportunity to enjoy the farm in its winter peacefulness. Bus 1 will take WMS and WHS students directly to the farm after school.
