A Trash to Treasure Hunt will be held at Lachat Town Farm on April 25th from 11am to 2pm, when local artist Andy Reiss shows visitors how to create sculptures from items that would otherwise be thrown away.
For the first time, residents will be able to walk the farm’s new one-mile nature trail to enjoy Lachat’s animals, woods and vernal pond.
Members of the Sustainable Weston committee will be on hand to offer advice on ways to #Recycle Right and also to introduce the new dedicated Redeemable Sorting Stations at the Transfer Station! As a special thank you for attending, each family will receive a free native tree sapling to plant at home, courtesy of the Weston Garden Club in support of the Weston Pollinator Pathway. Lachat Town Farm would like to thank our event Co-Sponsors and volunteers for organizing this FREE community event!
